AVerMedia Live Gamer Ultra S Review: Silent solid state capture with VRR: Strengths & Caveats
- Supports 4K60 HDR, 1440p, ultrawide, and up to 1080p240 VRR capture
- Native 5.1 surround sound audio ingestion capability
- Compact and silent solid-state external form factor
- Streamlined configuration through AVerMedia Streaming Center
- Limited to HDMI 2.0 bandwidth rather than HDMI 2.1
AdaLov CPE882 WiFi 6 Outdoor Wireless Bridge Review: Long-Range Wi-Fi 6 Backhaul: Strengths & Caveats
- Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports ensure wire-speed LAN passthrough without 100 Mbps bottlenecking
- Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) dual-band radio with directional high-gain antenna enables stable multi-kilometer line-of-sight links
- Pre-paired Master/Slave hardware modes simplify basic point-to-point deployment
- IP65-rated weatherproof chassis provides environmental ingress protection for mast installations
- Requires manual static IP reconfiguration on client devices to access the 192.168.255.x web interface
- Relies on proprietary 24V passive PoE rather than standardized IEEE 802.3af/at active power negotiation
- Infrequent firmware maintenance cadence with limited third-party firmware support
