So, I was being a genius and I restored my archive of Outlook into my actual inbox. So I thought no problem I will just archive it and it will fix the issue!! Well… it did fix the issue for my inbox BUT now I am left with duplicate emails in my archive file. Sigh…
So if you have pulled a smart move like myself here is how to fix that.
- Click the main Inbox folder you want to remove the duplicate emails from
- On the top in the ribbon cable under the HOME tab click Clean Up
- Under Clean Up select Clean Up folder & subfolders
- In the Clean Up Folder box click Clean Up Folder
This should hopefully now fix the duplicate email issue. It did for me!
